The results are in.
And they’re worth pausing to appreciate.
The Your College Concierge Class of 2026 is heading off to an extraordinary range of colleges and universities this fall (see below). They’re armed not just with acceptances, but with financial options.
Our students’ outcomes this year say a lot more than just “where students got in.” It speaks volumes for how they got there.
Here’s the headline:
Nearly $8 million in scholarships awarded
~$34,000 per student, per year (on average)
That includes multiple full cost-of-attendance awards, several offers approaching $50,000 annually, and a standout $54,945/year from Drexel University.
Our students are heading to some of the most selective schools in the country—like Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, Northeastern University, Northwestern University, University of Michigan and University of California, Berkeley—along with an incredibly broad range of outstanding universities across the country and around the world.
And in a year where acceptance rates continued to tighten, YCC students were more than twice as likely to be admitted than the national average.
That doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s the result of our students’ effort, hard work and intention, and their parents, who were willing to plan ahead and make thoughtful decisions early. If you’re new to our program, we say this often, and it’s worth repeating here:
We don’t “get” students into college.
We don’t “get” them money.
Students earn their outcomes.
Parents create the environment for it.
For those of you with students still in high school—this year reinforced a few things:
- Selective schools are not getting less selective
- Early planning matters more than ever
- And thinking about both admissions and cost early makes a real difference
If you’re now “on the college clock,” this Wednesday at 7 pm ET I’ll be discussing how our students ‘create a connection with Admissions officers’ through their college applications (the essays in particular). I’ll also be discussing what’s actually driving decisions right now, and how families can think about both admissions and cost with more clarity.
If you’re concerned about admissions and college costs, you’re welcome to join us. Just click here to grab your seat.
But before we close out the chapter on our 19th class and start working in earnest with our 20th, we want to use this space to celebrate with all of our soon-to-be high school graduates (and the families who love them).
Take a breath. You earned it!
And remember, wherever you are headed, it’s not the name of the school that will define you…it’s what you choose to do once you get there that makes the difference.
And you are ready!
Congratulations to the YCC Class of 2026.
Best,
Peter Ratzan
